I'm an engineer, and normally the type who has no trouble with "some assembly required', but I gotta say, this product is way over the top when it comes to assembly effort. Some of the highlights:
1. Instructions that miss pointing out several ways in which parts can be subtly mis-installed.
2. Some parts (stopper rings, for instance) requiring great hand-force to install. I needed a rubber mallet.
2. About 10 different types of screws, dozens of screws in all, in bags sometimes labelled only in a hand-written scrawl that easily rubs off. And *just* the right number, so don't lose any!
3. About half of the screws needing installation do not have pilot holes, so be ready with a drill.
In all, I required about 3 hours of effort to put this together. And again, I normally find this sort of thing easy, so I suspect the average effort might be about 4 hours.
We're not yet sure how durable it will prove. Caveat emptor.
