(More customer reviews)I currently have 15 soccer balls as I coach and I like to have several options for different conditions. In addition to what I own, I play with many friends who offer a variety to play with as well. In total, I have played with 7 that are in the premium match category. I wanted to support this company as I am a definite believer in "Fair Trade," so I bought their "Premium Match" ball to show my "respect."
The FT ball's cover is hard and is what I've come across on several match balls, but often those are in the $40 - $60 price range. The flight of the ball is true, and due to the harder cover, it is easy to control on the ground. If you really want to launch it, you will have less forgiveness than other premiums. Some may consider that as okay, but as an older player, I appreciate a little suppleness when I have a long cross or a corner.
Surprisingly, the graphics are also a bit suspect. After blowing it up, the white band stretched and "cracked," which is not the end of the world but if I'm paying bigger money, I want a ball that will look sharp on the pitch for more than a month or 2.
Overall, I'll give it 3 stars because the stitching seemed rock solid and it did have a nice overall appearance. However, to hit the "Premium" category, the ball should have a more supple cover and the graphics should be more permanent.
