We did have problems with the rim falling off easily at first; but I called Little Tikes and they helped me solve the problem. They told me to take the backboard off, lay it on the floor and attach the hoop and then actually step on the flat part of the hoop until I heard it snap into place. This worked like a charm and the hoop hasn't fallen off since. We all enjoy playing basketball. Little Tikes has great toys and their customer service folks are really helpful if there's ever a problem.
