First off, they fit me (5'9" Average built) and although I'm not expert, I can say they should work just fine if you are 6-feet and under. If you are higher, I don't know, but it also depends on how long your legs are. They are connected with velcro from the back of the shin and a "half-sock" at the bottom. Therefore, you must put the included sock on, put the shoe on and then attach the shin guard by velcro. While running, I can't even feel they are on. They are not being obstructive in any way and yet, they protect your shins from hits. They look very stylish as well, especially if you prefer those "high-tech" looks. I've been using them for over 2 weeks now and they are still going strong. Will they last long? I guess nothing lasts forever, but with the correct care, they should last long.
