(More customer reviews)I bought this product about two months ago, hoping to practice my soccer skills, as to make the high school soccer team. I had no previous experience of the game, so I found it all the more necessary to buy products such as these. My first impression was good, except for the frustration of finding the needle for the soccer pump. I must have spent about 20 minutes looking through all the packaging and thinking it must have fallen out somewhere between target and home. So I will try to spare you that frustration and tell you that their is a little compartment on the pump itself, you just pop open the top, and there's the needle. Perhaps that is the case with many pumps, but as I said, I had no previous experience with these types of things. So maybe many pumps have a little compartment for the needle, and maybe you all know that but me.
But other than that little scenario, I've used the kit probably every day. The ball is a size 4, I had thought it would be a 5, so that was a little dissapointing, but perhaps If I actually would've read the package first, I would've been more informed. So I can blame that on myself.
The waistband fits very small waists (my 7 yr old cousin tried it, it fits well). And I've noticed it has the ability to stretch quite a bit. it's just velcro, and it's pretty sturdy. Besides the annoying noise that occurs when you un-stick it, it does it's job very well.
The 'net', or cover to put around the soccer ball fits size 3, 4, and 5 soccer balls. it stays in put, and won't slip out. With all the bumping and banging and skidding the poor thing endures with my novice soccer skills, I can easily say it's very durable. I'm surprised it's put up with me this long.
the pump works great, and was easily inflated. It hasn't deflated even the slightest bit yet, and I've had it for a couple months. The 'weight' or disk type thing you see in the picture, is a 3 pound weight you connect the ball to, and you can kick it, without sending the the ball (or weight) flying into the street, trees, pedestrians, or etc.
The one that was included in my kit was more a rectangle, and black, but I'm sure they have different varities of the product.
I actually haven't used the two little orange cones yet, but I'm sure their use is pretty self explanatory. You could use them as a make-shift goal, or things to manuver around, or pretty much anything. They are plastic, but pretty durable, I've already stepped on them a couple times and they haven't broken or cracked from my weight.
Overall, I give this 5 stars. For [the money], you can't get much better. It's great for beginners (such as me) and I'm sure it would be helpful to anybody (experts as well, although I wouldn't know from experience).
Thanks!
