(More customer reviews)I was just wondering if this comforter was still available and I just read the only review listed about LINT. Since I own this entire set which I bought from Amazon almost 1 year ago, I thought I'd add my opinion too.
I wanted to defend the comforter since it had a bad rating. Yes, the other review was correct about the lint. But..... the tag says to dryclean the comforter.
Okay, I didn't follow the instructions either and it does lint ALOT when you wash it yourself. Even after it goes through the dryer, all that lint does not come off. However, after a good handful of washings it doesn't lint anymore. The problem I had was that the stuffing bunched a bit and I had to refluff it and spread it abit to even it out more.
The reality is with both of our complaints the tag does say dryclean. If we did that, then these problems wouldn't have existed.
I still like the comforter. Well, I like the design alot. It's very boyish and simple. My son's room has this entire bedroom set and sports stuff all over. I really wanted a set that he could use for some time. The comforter is thick and very warm. Once I washed it, besides the lint and refluffing, it softened up and filled out (not so flat like when shipped).
I was actually checking to see if this comforter was here to buy another. I painted my son's room to match the sheets which I also have 4 sets of. I figured I better buy another comforter as a backup, since this room will stay this way for several more years.
I would recommend it. If you want to save money on drycleaning, then be prepared for tons of lint. But, I promise... it eventually stops after a good 5 washings or so.
